Join Andrea Clark, owner of Nectar Yoga B&B, Elle Burke, owner of sailing vessel Oz II & Yoga Instructor, and Ileana Rockson, Yoga, mindful movement & Barre Instructor for a weekend on beautiful Bowen Island filled with functional movement, sailing, nature, delicious plant-based food all designed to detox your body and enhance your personal health and wellbeing.

Our weekend will offer you a chance to reboot, detoxing your body and mind, and will introduce you to new movement, new information and new skills that will create positive change in your life going forward.
This retreat is a blend of yoga, breath techniques, mantra and body movements to challenge you to feel rejuvenated and cleansed. Expect delicious plant-based food, trail exploration, sailing, arts and crafts, reading, dreaming and conversations with like-minded people. Leave behind the usual distractions of life and arrive in a space of nourishment, movement, self-reflection and discovery. Reconnect with your internal happiness.
This retreat accommodates 10 guests situated in cozy cabins, rooms and the Oz II Vessel. All accommodations are semi-private (2 person per room) and have a simple, comfortable design.
Ileana – My mantra is … “We move the body to master the mind”. Recently I have been learning about Kundalini Yoga and its benefits. I strongly believe if we take our bodies to our edge, we work through emotional, personal stories we are holding on to. A good sweat always makes us feel accomplished and gives us great energy for our day. We will also be practicing a movement class when we sail off on Gambier Island to cap off our adventure.
We will be preparing simple, vegan, plant-based, nourishing meals. All meals will be provided over the weekend and dietary restrictions can be accommodated.
Bowen Island is naturally WILD! We will be sailing from Snug Cove by sailboat through the stunning Howe Sound. Along the way we will have discussion about the flora and fauna of the area. We will sail to Gambier Island and take a break to explore some of the many trails. The whole weekend will incorporate nature and the 5 elements into our practices.
Oz II is a sturdy ocean-going sailing vessel, originally custom made for the Southern ocean race. She was built in Florida in 1983 and has been lovingly updated over the years to make her a well-equipped cruiser. At 41’ long and 14’ wide she is a great size with comfortable living accommodations, cosy lounge area, well equipped Galley (kitchen), Heads (washroom) with Shower, 2 private cabins and 4x bunks in the main saloon. There’s plenty of deck space up top with 2 cockpits both seating 6 so you can be part of the action or simply sit back, feel the wind in your hair and take in the beautiful views.

YOUR WEEKEND HOSTS
I love illuminating the path for my students. I created Nectar Yoga B&B as a place to heal, love and be happy. For the past 4 years, I have led thousands of people through mindful movement classes, meditations, exotic international retreats and I continue to create beautiful, mindful retreats for people of all walks of life.
Elle is a big-hearted, nature enthusiast who integrates mind, body and spirit into her yoga teaching. Originally from Scotland, she started her yoga whilst at University, finding the benefits of focus and stress reduction. As an avid outdoor adventurer the importance of preparing the body through stretching, strengthening and injury prevention is woven into her classes. You will also experience mindfulness practices, alignment focused movement, conscious breath and mantra in a vinyasa flow style class.
Coming from a dance background .. movement has always been part of my practice. It was 3 years ago when I was introduced to meditation.
Meditation allowed me to connect to my soul, it provided me with the stillness that I needed to cope with stress, anxiety and depression.
I find fitness and meditation keeps me balanced and it allows me to stay grounded and connected.
In my teachings I focus mostly on breath and comfort .. we connect to our nervous system thru the breath as we soften the body the mind follows.
My favorite is allowing my students to relax and release … while I hold space in a way you feel rejuvenated and recharged.
My fitness classes are based for all levels. I provide many options for all fitness levels. you will feel strong and empowered after class.
