Nature As Nurturer: Spring Forward in Rythym with Nature | March 8 – 11

RETREAT OVERVIEW:

The Experience
Rhythm is derived from the Sanskrit root Ritma which is also gives us Ritual.
You will start each day (if you so choose) with an early morning practice moving from sleep, into the rhythm of the Nature that surrounds you.
Time will be afforded to the creation of Ritual that serves your truest self. The rhythm of each day will also guide us into the surrounding trees to experience Forest Bathing ( a practice of being within the surrounding nature that invites slowness and connection to breath, and heart. You “bathe” your lungs and heart in the healing energy of Trees. (There is a magical Arbutus Forest we will visit).

There will be sessions of Yoga Nidra (Yogic “sleep”) and group discussions/workshops. As well, you will be encouraged to take time alone, whether, journaling, drawing, walking or being in silence. This time will allow you deeper connection to your internal rhythm. You may even find yourself moving to a different beat. Ritma is the unspoken truth of who you are. This is the time to let your truth flow and get ready to grow into it.

Yoga will be in the very unique and beautiful, fully equipped Geodesic Yoga Dome with views into the forest.
(all props provided, no need to carry any with you)

Evening Welcome circle and Breathwork for relaxation

SATURDAY:
7:00 am Yoga/Micromovement Class
8:30 am Breakfast
Free Time for exploring/rest/creative time
12:00 pm Lunch
1:30 pm Forest Bathing (Walk and Movement in nature)
5:30 pm Dinner
Evening – Guest choice Free time/ Class/ Meditation/ Philosophy

SUNDAY: (clocks spring ahead this day)
7:00 am Yoga/Micromovement Class that embraces and acknowledges time

Free Time for exploring/rest/creative time

1:30 pm Forest Bathing (Walk and Movement in nature)

MONDAY:
7:00 am Yoga/Micromovement Class that embraces and acknowledges time

Free Time for exploring/rest/creative time
12:00 pm- 2pm Lunch/Closing Circle and/or Free Time
(Rooms must be emptied by 1:00. Bags can be left in Main House) Departure by 3:00 pm

Main House:
Master Bedroom (with sleeping loft):
The Master Bedroom uses the detached bathroom on the upper floor, Use of Main Kitchen, Dining Room and Living Room and Deck
1 Queen Bed on main level, 1 Double Bed in large sleeping loft –Sleeps 2 singles or 3-4 friends

3 Friends Sharing $2325 ($775 each), 4 Friends Sharing $2700 ($675 each) (group must book together)

Guest Room:
The Guest Room uses a detached bathroom on the main floor. Use of Main Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room and Deck.
2 Single Beds – Sleeps 2 singles.
Each Single $825 per person
Book the whole room for 1 person $1475

FOOD:
All Meals, Snacks, tea and coffee are Included
Meals will be vegetarian
We will do our best to accommodate special diets. Please inform Ocean Breath of all allergies and requirements and we will let you know if we can provide the necessary foods. There is a fridge in Nectar Loft and the main House if you need to bring some of your own items.

YOGA:
Beverly is an ERYT 500 and YACEP. Owner of Ocean Breath Yoga
Trained in Hatha, Yin, Kundalini, Nidra, Meditation, Pranayama and Prenatal Yoga

Classes incorporate elements found in Somatics, Feldenkrais and various other practices.
All practices are based on what is required for the people who are present. You are unique and so is what Beverly shares.
Let go what you think Yoga has to be and be open to exploring what it needs to be for you and your very unique self.

WHAT TO BRING:
Bring comfortable clothing/layers are good for changing weather
Rain jacket
Something comfortable for Yoga along with a good sweater.
Walking shoes that are good on a dirt trail
Slippers or cozy socks for indoors (no shoes inside the main house and please consider the same in cottages)
Journal and pen
Your heart and mind and willingness to let go.

WHAT NOT TO INCLUDE:
Shampoos and soaps (they are provided and eco friendly)
Yoga mats and props (they are provided)
Towels (provided)
Pets (find them some loving friends to spend time with)
Your stress and work (Not needed…this time is for you!)
Computers and Tech if you can help it. (There is internet but consider what you have come for and give your eyes and mind a rest)
Phones of course are necessary but you will be asked to leave them aside in the Main House and to honour your companions when sharing space.
